TUNER
Professional Precision Piano Tuning
High-resolution harmonic analysis meets physics-based optimization. Measure once, tune with confidence.
We use this software to tune pianos daily and we're confident in the core technology. Rather than develop in isolation and hope we got it right, we chose to release early as a web-based PWA (Progressive Web App)—no app store approval, no platform gatekeepers, just open a browser and go.
The tradeoff: "anything with a browser" means an enormous variety of devices, microphones, and OS quirks we can't test exhaustively. We've built a compatibility checker to help verify your device works. Some PWA limitations to be aware of:
The native iOS and Android apps (coming to official app stores) will handle permissions correctly, enforce hardware compatibility, and eliminate these platform quirks entirely. If you encounter friction during this preview, know that it's the tradeoff for early access—not what the final product will be.
As a thank you for participating in the preview and helping shape development, registered beta testers will receive discount pricing at official launch. Preview extends through end of March 2026 for existing testers.
Viper Tuner takes a fundamentally different approach from traditional ETDs (Electronic Tuning Devices). Instead of interpolating between sparse measurements, we use physics-based acoustic modeling and global optimization.
The daily driver. Uses universal treble physics combined with real bass measurements. Fastest path to a high-quality tuning—ready to go in seconds.
The microscope. Full 61-note scan with high-resolution DSP, generating millions of data points for concert-level precision. Peak hypothesis consensus, heterodyne B measurement, and real-time inharmonicity monitoring.
Aural tuning tools—temperament sequences, interval checks, octave expansion guidance—are available from the Tools menu during any session. They complement both workflows rather than standing as a separate mode.

Why settle for one generic display? 60 FPS WebGL graphics—the same tech powering modern games—for a display you actually want to look at.

Viper Tuner requires WebGL, WebAudio, and WebAssembly with SharedArrayBuffer support.
Most modern browsers on devices from 2020+ support these features.
Not sure if your device is supported? Run the compatibility checker before diving in.
